Hastings Casino in Vancouver

At Hastings Park

The address is 188 N Renfrew St, Vancouver, where Hastings Casino occupies the Hastings Racecourse grounds within Hastings Park. It is a casino. Great Canadian Entertainment still runs it. Great Canadian signed a deal on November 7, 2025, under which Tsleil-Waututh Nation would buy the casino portion. Closing the sale requires sign-off from regulators and from the City of Vancouver; as of October 7, 2026, no closing had been made public.

Distances are measured straight between map coordinates, not by road. The casino is 99 km from Victoria and 267 km from Kelowna. Bound for the Island or up the coast? Horseshoe Bay sits 19.5 km off and the Tsawwassen ferry terminal 31.7 km, both figures measured as straight lines.

Hours and the floor

Hours are local Pacific time. Sunday to Thursday, Hastings Casino welcomes players between 11 AM and 12 AM. The later Friday and Saturday schedule covers 11 AM to 2 AM. This guide does not carry holiday hours; for those, consult the venue's own website.

The floor is slot machines. No live table games or poker room appear in the Hastings listing. The venue and its operator publish different slot counts, so this guide gives none.

Thoroughbred racing, held at Hastings Racecourse since 1889, came to an end on December 5, 2025. There is no live racing in 2026. Simulcasts of races from other tracks continue to screen there, on a monthly schedule.

Before you go

Since June 2023, staff at the door ask every guest for government-issued photo ID, and no one under 19 gets in. Every ID is checked against the self-exclusion list. Close to the gaming floor, an indoor lounge offers a stage and a full-service bar. Jerome's, off the racebook, serves casual dining.

Its page publishes no phone number.
